Video made for the opening session of the 4th UNI Global Union World Congress held in Cape Town, South Africa.
The conference marked the 20th anniversary of the end of the Apartheid system. Therefore, the video focuses on the figure of Nelson Mandela, essential icon of the struggle for freedom throughout the world. Using 3D animation, the video shows Mandela at the time of his imprisonment in Robben Island, where he was forced to do hard labor by breaking rocks. This is shown as an allegory of the injustices that perpetuate poverty and exclusion in the world to this day.
